18 Reasons WE LOVE Dallas Texas 2023

Dallas, Texas, is one of the country’s most popular cities, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a lot to offer its residents, from great food and entertainment options to plenty of outdoor activities and attractions.

But there’s more to it than that – Texas is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. The city offers an incredibly diverse range of opportunities for everyone, from young professionals looking to launch their careers to retirees wanting to relax in peace and quiet. And if you want to save on taxes, Texas is one of the most tax-friendly states in the US.

If you’ve considered making a move to Dallas, let’s cover some of the top reasons why making a move to Dallas may be the right choice for you.

Reason #1: Affordability

Apart from its amazing attractions and diverse opportunities, Dallas also boasts an incredibly affordable cost of living. In fact, the cost of living in Dallas is 2% lower than the national average, making it an ideal place to settle down and call home.

Whether you’re a fresh college graduate, a growing family, or a retiree, Dallas offers affordable amenities like housing, groceries, healthcare, and transportation.

The city’s affordable housing market is one of its biggest selling points, with a median home price 20% lower than the national average. If you are making a move from an expensive city, Dallas may be the perfect place for you.

Reason #2: The Job Market Is Booming

Dallas is enjoying quite the economic boom lately, with many businesses relocating to the area. The city’s job market is thriving, and it offers a wide range of career opportunities for everyone, from people who are just starting out to those who want to take their careers to new heights. The city offers higher-than-average salaries, tempting many to make the move.

Corporations such as AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Bank of America, and Texas Instruments call Dallas home. Plus, the city is one of the fastest-growing tech hubs in the US, with companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google basing their operations there. The business-friendly environment and low taxes make Dallas an attractive destination for many corporations.

Reason #3: Dallas Is More Than Dallas

Dallas is often seen as the gateway to Texas, with many of its suburbs offering a mix of culture and entertainment. There are plenty of exciting places to explore in the city – from cultural attractions such as the Dallas Museum of Art and Perot Museum of Nature & Science to modern marvels like AT&T Stadium and Victory Park.

The nearby cities, too, offer plenty of attractions. If you’re looking for an escape from the bustle of Dallas, take a drive out to Grapevine, Fort Worth, and Arlington – all just a short drive away. Plus, if you want to explore nature, there are plenty of parks and trails throughout the region. We love the lakes – Joe Pool and Ray Hubbard are two of our favorites.

Reason #4: It’s Always Sunny In Dallas

Dallas can really heat up in the summer, but it’s actually one of the sunniest cities in the US. The city enjoys 234 days of sunshine per year – perfect for outdoor activities like golfing, jogging, and hiking. Only January and February really see a drop in sunny days, but even then, the weather stays mild.

Just be prepared for the heat – Dallas can get really hot in the summer, with temperatures sometimes reaching the triple digits. So make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen! But hang around for a while, and it’ll cool down in the fall.

Reason #5: Public Transportation Options

Public transit can be a challenge in many cities, but Dallas has one of the most extensive transportation systems. The city’s DART light rail system takes you to your destination quickly and conveniently, while the bus system is reliable and efficient – perfect for those who prefer not to drive.

Whether you’re commuting to work or traveling around the city, public transit makes getting around Dallas a breeze. There are also plenty of ride-sharing options, such as Uber and Lyft, to get you wherever you need to go.

Reason #6: The Dallas University System Unlocks Your Future

Dallas offers nearly every type of education you could want, from private schools to renowned universities. The University of Texas at Dallas and Southern Methodist University are two of the most highly regarded universities in the area, and there are other community colleges and private schools for students of all ages.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is home to some of the most beloved sports teams in America, including the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, and FC Dallas. Whether you’re a fan of football or baseball, hockey or soccer, there’s something for everyone in this diverse city. The stadiums draw a ton of people and feature great restaurants and shops.
